Chakodanuki* (茶小狸*) is a 3-member dance group formed by Yumacha, Gu~peko, and Watanuki. They are known for their cute dances choreographed by Watanuki.

Name

Chakodanuki* is a combination of the ends of the members' names. "Cha" (茶) from Yumacha, "ko" (小) from Gu~peko, and "danuki" (狸) from Watanuki.

History

Origin

Chakodanuki* was formed in 2015 when Watanuki and Gu~peko choreographed a dance to "Futsuu no Mahou Shoujo de Gomennasai." Together with Yumacha they uploaded their video on October 9. For the first five years they posted infrequently and didn't garner much attention.

Popularity

In June of 2020, Chakodanuki* blew up when they released their choreography of Strawberry Prince's "Suki Suki Seijin." It has received over 290,000 views on YouTube and has been covered by many odorite such as Yakko, Wata, and Ririyan and Bookie, Miyuchii, and Giotto.
