History

1st and 2nd Generations

*ChocoLate Bomb!! formed in 2014 posting their first video, a cover of Juice=Juice's "Don't be spiteful, but embrace me," on February 14, 2014. Chocobo was originally made up of five members: E~suke, Yujimaru, Panmen, Takkun, and Iripon. Iripon left the group in April of 2016. The other four members continued on and later added Leo to the group in November of 2016.

Choco Baby and 3rd Generation

In the beginning of 2018 DD Co. held auditions to form a MeseMoa. Babies group (ultimately called Panda Dragon). Nagisa Kouta and Sasamori Ryou, or Sasser, were two of the auditionees for the group. Although they ultimately were not chosen for the new group they were added as trainees under the name Choco Baby and started performing with *ChocoLate Bomb!! On August 31, 2019 Kouta and Sasser were announced as full *ChocoLate Bomb!! members making them a 7 member group.

Mental Error

In 2021 the group formed a darker alter ego group called Mental Error (メンタルエラー). Each of them chose a new stage name for the group. E~suke became Yomikawa Kaname, Yujimaru became Momose Ayumu, Panmen became Amamiya Eru, Takkun became Shikashigumo Shion, Leo became Inukai Yuuhi, Kouta became Ue Haduki, and Sasser became Aisen Rui. They released 1 single, "Shinjuu Merry-go-Round," and 1 dance cover, "Jackpot Sad Girl," before disbanding a year later in October 2022.

Popularity

*ChocoLate Bomb!!'s most popular video is their cover of "Ikkitousen" with choreography by E~suke. It has over 1 million views on YouTube.
